Sam Eggington is a former British, Commonwealth, European and IBO world champion from Stourbridge. Across 46 professional fights he built a reputation for taking on anyone, anywhere. Now retired from boxing, he is working in television, documentary and podcast media — as himself, with nothing rehearsed.

Sam Eggington turned professional at 18 and spent the next fourteen years fighting whoever was put in front of him, usually away from home. He won the Commonwealth, British and European welterweight titles, then the IBO world super-welterweight title, and finished with 36 wins from 46 fights, 20 of them inside the distance. His 2021 fight with Bilel Jkitou was named Fight of the Year by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Off camera and on it, he is the same person: dry, direct, funny and completely uninterested in making himself sound impressive. He talks to broadcasters the way he talks to the bloke behind him in the queue.

Now retired from the ring, Sam is working across factual entertainment, challenge formats, documentary, podcasts and brand media.
